Picnicking in Les Shirley Park is a family tradition for us, but it's been a few years since I was home to enjoy it. Fathers day was a great excuse to get everyone together and relax and enjoy the rare sunshine. There was plenty of space for the little ones to run around and a creek nearby for Talon to get his stick fix in.
Max + Sam
Last week I had a great time shooting two young boys who I've known since they were born and one of whom, I had the pleasure of watching when he was just a tiny baby. Now they are 8 and 12, oh how the time flies. These little hooligans are moving with their parents Mike and Elly to Kentucky in less than a month, and this shoot was done to honor and remember their childhood home and surprise Mike withe some fathers day photos!
Exploring Falcon Point
The Oregon coast is filled with many beautiful beaches and hikes. Last Sunday, a group of close friends and I spent all day exploring just one of them. We started out at the trailhead of Falcon Point, which sits on the northern rim of Oswald West State Park and made our way 6 + miles exploring through old growth trees, along jagged cliffs and secret inlets brimming with life. The vast geographic diversity we found in such a relatively small stretch of land was astounding and just goes to show, it's hard to beat a sunny day on the Oregon Coast!
Puppies and Sunshine
Sundays are for Surfing
This past Sunday was one of those good days, through and through. Matt and I started out with a delicious breakfast at The Columbian Cafe, then meandered our way down the coast where we met up with my parents and my goofy dog Talon and headed to Shorties. The previous weekends there, the water had been packed and we were pleasantly surprised to find that we practically had the place to ourselves. I caught a couple waves, before trading my board in for the camera. I had a blast catching my dad and Matt in action! Good day through and through.
